Improved Living Services, LLC - Day Program Information

Improved Living Services, LLC, (ILS) offers Day Treatment Programming for adults. These services offer pre-vocational and vocational training geared toward community employment, functional academic skill training, and life-skill/social skill training. Our programming is individualized and teaches functional skills from a community centered philosophy. We apply what is learned to real life situations and believe that community participation is a very important part of our programming. We teach the participants the importance of being active members of the community and work through local volunteer services and employers to provide rewarding yet challenging activities throughout the day.

A variety of assessment services are also provided by ILS. We utilize the McCarron-Dial Assessment as tool to gauge an individual’s readiness for community participation. It provides useful information on how a person processes information, learns, and relates to their environment. Safety awareness, fine and gross motor assessment, learning styles, receptive and expressive vocabulary skills, and emotional/behavioral functioning is evaluated and provides useful information into what types of programming will be most beneficial to the participant. We also assess academic skills and utilize a broad curriculum to find ways to teach functional skills in ways where traditional learning may not have been successful.
